Hello all,
I have attached a PDF, the Memorandum of Agreement for our members to view in hopes of answering further questions you may have. Our local has sent this to share with our members. I have mentioned in previous meetings, that Steve Sweeney tries at every avenue to squash any benefits for us public workers, which he is still trying to do at this time. On Monday, the 11th, he is having another town hall meeting in Monmouth to actively change, and basically attack, the very agreement our Union representatives have negotiated with Gov. Murphy. This is the reason behind the rush to get it passed. It is not an attempt to rush to vote in a contract that is going to be bad for our Members. Our Union has worked alongside Phil Murphy in good-faith negotiations to come up with this tentative contract, which we feel is a good one. Please review all the materials that you have been sent and know that they have worked long and hard on this to get a fair deal for all.If you have any questions that we may be able to help with, please feel free to contact me, Bob Wallace, Christy Engelhardt, and Linda Forline.
In Solidarity,
Cindy Norman
