Called the meeting to order: Linda Forline, Treasurer gave the total amount in our account: $4,231.37

Cindy spoke about how the retro payments and asked if anyone was having any issues and no one was at that point.

She also spoke about how we have to schedule to use our comp time when you reach 60 hours, and that you do not have to use it all before the end of the year (as one manager in particular stated to several members). Also told the members if anyone has any manager tell them they cannot work the holidays because they have too many comp hours, that is false also ANY questions about comp, Cindy told them to contact any of the board or stewards and they will answer their questions regarding comp.

Cindy told both groups at 12:00 & 1:00 that we are in negotiations at this time with Phil Murphy’s team and they are meeting in good faith with our Union officials.

Cindy also spoke to both groups about the Holiday party this year. It will be on December 5, 2018 at the Smithville Inn again this year. They give us the best price and everyone seems to enjoy it. Make sure you save time for that event, it usually lasts 2 ½ hours.

Discount movie tickets available through Regal Entertainment (10) ticket limit per month per member. Contact our Local Office and they will give you directions on how to send them a check or money order made out to CWA Local 1031.

Invited Janet Gerhardt from Florida House Experience, to speak to our members, formerly from HCAMS which she was affiliated with, but she is now the Director of Public & Community Affairs with the FHE; she had some members come to her after the meeting and she handed out new info along with the Weingarten cards attached, in case someone was being called in for discipline to use the card. Janet spoke about the needs of members and their families that this behavioral health treatment facility offer the highest quality of care. This FHE offers free services for union members to protect your job while you get treatment. Union presidents, executive board members can call them directly for CONFIDENTIAL assistance. They offer medical detox, inpatient and outpatient care.
